700 smuggled chicks burnt in Tangail

Acting on a tip-off, police led by Sakhipur Upazila Animal Resources Officer Dr Afazuddin Upazila Animal raided two poultry firms at Taktarchala and Gargovindapur villages and seized 700 chicks, allegedly smuggled from across the border.

Sakhipur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Mohammad Mokabbir Hossen, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sakhipur Police Station Mohammad Younis Ali, and President of Sakhipur Upazila Poultry Firm Owners Association Ariful Haque Badsha were present at this time.
