Abu Mohammed Yosuf, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Md. Abdullahel Baki, Mymensingh Police Superintenfent, Artist Amirul Islam and Prof AKM Shafiqul Islam will address the opening session as special guests. Dr. Bijoy Krishna Banik, Deputy Keeper of the art gallery, will preside.

Students from different schools in the district in three age groups will participate in the art competition, said the organisers.

The Shilpacharya, a pride of Mymensingh, passed his school life in Mritunjoy School in the district town.
