AL wants to perpetuate its hold on power

In the auspicious month of March 1971, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave a clarion call to the people to rise up against the unjust acts of the Pakistani military regime and asked them to unite against the regime and resist it. People from all walks of life, including those who were in defence services responded to his call, joined hands, and freed the country in nine months.
But it is a matter of great regret that Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina has resorted to devious ways to come to power. By doing so she has done a great harm to her party, the Awami League. They have shifted from their earlier stance of holding a mid-term election and it seems that Awami League wants to remain in power forever at any cost, but 'forever is a long long time'.
