Alamgir returns to direction

Besides his performances in hundreds of films, the nine time winner of the National Film Awards and veteran actor Alamgir also dabbles in direction. The 1996 film “Nirmom” was his last directorial venture, and now over 20 years later, the artiste is helming, and starring in a new film project. The film will be released under the banner Icon Entertainment, a production house founded by Alamgir.

Titled “Ekti Cinema'r Golpo,” shooting will begin on September 7 this year. Besides directing, Alamgir has conceptualised the narrative and written the script, and has been working on the story for over two years.

Other cast members include Arefin Shuvo, Rituparna, Sadeq Bachchu, Saberi Alam, Zaki Alamgir, Bobby and more. SI Tutul, Emon Saha, Shawkat Ali Emon are composing the film score.
