The 1956 film “Around the World in 80 Days” based on the Jules Verne classic of the same title, was the first Hollywood film to be shot in Bangladesh. A sequence of the epic action adventure comedy film, directed by Michael Anderson, was shot in Moulvibazar's Lawachora National Park. The film went on to win five Oscars, including Best Picture.
