Bullock's new film gets October release

Warner Bros. is set to release the Sandra Bullock and Billy Bob Thornton-starring political drama “Our Brand Is Crisis” on Oct. 30.

It is based on the 2005 documentary of the same name, which showed the power of American political campaign marketing practices and its negative consequences.

David Green is director of the Peter Straughan-written feature, which also stars Zoe Kazan, Anthony Mackie and Scoot McNairy.

The political drama will fight for the weekend box office against Paramount's “Scouts vs. Zombies” and Relativity's “Autobahn”.

Sandra Bullock is enjoying the colossal success of “Minions”, where she voice-acted super-villain Scarlett Overkill. Billy Bob Thornton was last seen on the big screen with the film adaptation of hit TV series “Entourage”.
