Wahlberg to star in “Partners”
Mark Wahlberg will star as a Los Angeles Police Department detective in New Line's action-comedy “Partners”. The script, written by Evan Turner, centres a detective becoming romantically involved with a woman after a one-night stand, then discovering that she's an FBI agent in charge of a high-profile case to which he's been assigned.
Richard Brener, Sam Brown and Michael Disco are overseeing for the studio, which is seeking a director and lead actress.
Wahlberg starred as a detective with Will Ferrell in Warner's 2010 comedy “The Other Guys”. He was last seen in “Ted 2” and will appear with Ferrell in Paramount's “Daddy's Home”, which opens on Christmas. He's been shooting Lionsgate's “Deepwater Horizon” with Peter Berg directing.
