Banks should invest more in SMEs
Although banking sector has remarkably grown in last two decades, at present local banks should pay more attention to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and retail clients for keeping sustainable growth instead of relying on large corporate groups. Earning more profit should not be the main objective of the banks, rather it is better to formulate more strategic plans for keeping sustainable growth of the banking industry. Paying attention only to corporate financing can achieve more profit in the short term but investing on SMEs and retail sectors have lower risk in achieving long-term rate of return even though earning of profit may be lower.
