For a school child, one of the most tempting gifts is a new text book. Every year, students receive their brand new text books of the new class with much enthusiasm. The aroma and the fresh look of text books make most students spend more time with their texts books. The day when the free text books are distributed among students, every school turns out to be a festive occasion with joyous students holding their new gifts with smiling faces.
Despite successive hartals-blockades resulting in disputing the schedules of school life students of different schools in Chittagong got new books in time, just with the advent of the New Year.
Cheerful students of different schools in the port city were found  holding perhaps the most precious gifts of the year, new text books.
