Bishwa Sahitya Kendra turns 35

Last week Bishwa Shahitya Kendra has reached the age of thirty five. It is a matter of great joy indeed. Their reading programmes have involved 1.5 million readers in all these years, which is a huge achievement. Under the able leadership of Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, this organisation has come this far. It aims to create enlightened persons -- something that our conventional education often fails to do. We hope the institution will go far ahead and remain true to its motto.
