Mainul joins UCB as DMD

SM Mainul Kabir recently joined United Commercial Bank (UCB) PLC as deputy managing director (DMD).

Kabir was the DMD of Community Bank prior to joining UCB, said a press release.

He has served in different positions in bank relationship management, branch banking, general banking, trade finance, lending operations, credit risk management, and credit risk analysis for more than 28 years.

He started his banking career with National Bank.

Kabir previously worked for Southeast Bank, Jamuna Bank and Exim Bank.

He obtained his honour's and master's degrees from the department of finance and banking at the University of Dhaka and did an MBA from the department of management studies of the same university.
