Prime Bank gets BB recognition for sustainability initiatives

Prime Bank has been awarded by Bangladesh Bank in the "Sustainability Rating 2022" for actively driving sustainability initiatives.

Hassan O Rashid, managing director and CEO of Prime Bank, received an award from Abdur Rouf Talukder, governor of the central bank, at the latter's headquarters in Motijheel, Dhaka on Tuesday, said a press release.

The recognition was given on the basis of Prime Bank's efforts in green re-finance, corporate social responsibility and core banking sustainability.

"Our focus has been to drive business in a sustainable manner. As a member of the UN's environment programme "Net Zero Banking Alliance", Prime Bank is continuously working towards sustainability with all our initiatives. We thank Bangladesh Bank for their continuous support and guidance," said Rashid.

Nurun Nahar, deputy governor of the BB, was present.
