City Bank’s profit up in Jul-Sep

The City Bank Ltd reported a 10.60 per cent year-on-year increase in profit at Tk 112.85 crore in the July-September quarter of 2022.  

It logged Tk 102.05 crore profit during the same three-month period in 2021.

Thus, consolidated earnings per share rose to Tk 0.94 for July-September from Tk 0.85 recorded in the same quarter of 2021, according to the un-audited financial statements.

City Bank earned Tk 330.17 crore in profit in January-September this year, down from Tk 332.57 crore during the identical nine-month period of 2021.

The private commercial bank posted a consolidated EPS of Tk 2.75 in January-September in 2022 against Tk 2.77 in January-September of 2021.

Its consolidated net operating cash flow per share was Tk 7.35 in negative in January-September, which was Tk 5.69 in negative during the same period in 2021.

The bank's consolidated net asset value per share was Tk 27.83 on September 30 this year and Tk 27.27 on December 31 last year.

Shares of the bank were unchanged at Tk 21.80 on the Dhaka Stock Exchange yesterday.
