Ad agencies’ association to go for reorganisation

The Advertising Agencies Association of Bangladesh has decided to reorganise the association for serving the common interests of the ad agencies and development of professional skills in the sector.

The association took the decision in a general meeting chaired by its president, Ramendu Majumdar, at Hotel Bengal Canary Park in Dhaka on March 23.

The members present at the meeting stressed the need for strengthening the organisation to establish ethics in the business sector by increasing the membership and thoroughly reorganising the association.

A nine-member subcommittee was formed to draft a new constitution of the association by April 20.

The association president welcomed the new members who represented mostly the younger generation of ad professionals.

Muneer Ahmed Khan, general secretary of the association, gave an account of the past activities.

Geeteara Safiya Choudhury, former president of the association and chairman of Adcomm Ltd, gave the closing remarks.
