Glitch at national payment switch resolved: Bangladesh Bank
The central bank has resolved the technical glitch faced by the National Payment Switch Bangladesh (NPSB), enabling clients to settle interbank transactions through automated teller machines (ATMs).
A Bangladesh Bank official said that the technical glitch was resolved at 7pm.
The NPSB faced the glitch at 1.30pm, which is why clients were unable to withdraw money from ATMs before 7pm.
NPSB is a domestic ATM-sharing network governed by the Bangladesh Bank.
Through this network, NPSB member banks' customers perform ATM transactions at other NPSB member banks' ATM terminals using their debit and credit cards.
