TRNB elects new executive committee

Telecom and Technology Reporters Network Bangladesh (TRNB), an organisation representing journalists covering the country's telecommunications and technology sectors, has formed a new executive committee for the 2026-2028 term.

SM Masuduzzaman Robin, special correspondent of Jamuna Television, was elected president, while Faruk Hossain, special correspondent of The Daily Inqilab, was elected general secretary.

The seven-member committee also includes Al-Amin Dewan, special correspondent at TechShohor.com, as treasurer and Hasnain Imtiaz, senior reporter at Samakal, as organising secretary.

The biennial meeting and election of the organisation were held on Thursday at a hotel in Cox's Bazar.

The newly elected executive members are Samir Kumar Dey, senior reporter at The Daily Ittefaq; Mahmudul Hasan, senior staff reporter at The Daily Star; and Shuvo Khan, senior reporter at Somoy Television.

The committee will serve a two-year term from August 2026 to July 2028.
