Bank Asia declares 17% dividend
Bank Asia PLC recently announced a 17 percent dividend, including an 8.5 percent cash dividend for the year ended December 31, 2025.
The announcement was made at the bank’s 27th annual general meeting (AGM), which was held virtually, according to a press release.
Romo Rouf Chowdhury, chairman of the bank, presided over the meeting as the chief guest.
Zakia Rouf Chowdhury; vice-chairman of the bank; Rumee A Hossain; director and chairman of the board executive committee; Enam Chowdhury, Romana Rouf Chowdhury, Farhana Haq, Nafees Khundker and Farzana Khan, directors; Md Ataur Rahman, director and chairman of the board audit committee; and Sabeth Nayeem Choudhury; director and chairman of the board risk management committee, attended the meeting.
A large number of shareholders virtually joined the meeting from across the country.
They expressed their satisfaction with the bank’s overall performance and approved the audited financial statements and accounts for the year 2025.
Sohail RK Hussain, managing director, and Zahid Hasan, company secretary (acting), along with senior executives, were also present at the AGM.
