M Mohibuz Zaman elected president of Pharmaceutical Executive Club
M Mohibuz Zaman, chief operating officer of ACI PLC, has been elected as the president of the Pharmaceutical Executive Club Limited (PECL), a social organisation for management professionals in the pharmaceutical industry, for the 2025-26 term.
M Nakibur Rahman, chief operating officer of Nevian Lifescience (formerly Novartis Bangladesh), has been re-elected secretary general of PECL, according to a press release.
During the club's 21st annual general meeting, held recently at the Lakeshore Hotel in Gulshan, Dhaka, the list of members elected for the next term, led by the president, was announced, followed by the formation of the full committee at the Mohakhali Club House.
Other members elected to office include Mohammad Halimuzzaman (Healthcare) and Syed AB Tahmeed (Synovia) as vice-presidents, and Shahnaz Parveen (Incepta) as treasurer.
The executive committee (EC) also includes Afsar Uddin Ahmed (Beximco), Reza Md Samiul Hasan (MSP), Md Iftekharul Islam, Mominul Hasan (Rangs), Md Mizanur Rahman (Square), Nazmul Hossain (Unimed), SM Noor Hossain (LabAid), AKM Ahsan Ullah (Global Pharma), Mohammad Shariful Islam (Hamdard), Brahmmarpan Pikaso (Acme), Md Mujahidul Islam (Eskayef), Tapan Kumar Roy (Pharmasia), Md Tanbir Sajib (Renata), and Mohammad Ashraful Alam (Radiant).
In addition, the new EC has reappointed Md Rafiqul Islam, M Azizul Huq, Akhter Matin Chaudhury, Abu Nayeem Saiful Rahman, Sheikh Nahar Mahmud, and Mir Zaki Azam Chowdhury as advisers.
