The Spring 2024 Admission Fair at Uttara University began on February 6 and will continue till February 24.

The Expo, held at the Westin Dhaka, featured 30 prestigious Australian universities and institutes, which included globally acclaimed universities like Monash University, Macquarie University, the University of Adelaide, University of Technology Sydney, etc.

Team BUP achieved a historic win at Jessup Bangladesh, marking a triumphant moment for Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and making them the flag bearer of Bangladesh at the international rounds in Washington DC, USA. 

North South University (NSU) hosted its Spring semester orientation programme. A total of 23 students were awarded merit-based 100 percent scholarships for their outstanding results in the undergraduate (honours) admission test in 17 departments of four schools of the university.

East Delta University recently hosted a policy dialogue at Cox’s Bazar on January 21, with the title “Fostering Sustainable Livelihoods: Policy Implications for Cox’s Bazar”. The Chief Guest of the dialogue was Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Additional Secretary, Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner, Cox Bazar. Amateur Experimental Rocketry Dhaka (AERD), in collaboration with the Dr. Anwarul Abedin Institute of Innovation (D2A2I) and the American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB), successfully launched their first weather balloon on January 12, at 10:30 AM at the AIUB Campus. The balloon later landed smoothly just 120 kilometres from the launch site at Cumilla with all payload and equipment intact.

On January 16, 2024, Professor Dr Gour Gobinda Goswami assumed the position of Pro Vice-Chancellor at Uttara University. Uttara University VC Prof. Dr Eaysmin Ara Lekha greeted the newly appointed Pro VC. Dr Gour Gobinda Goswami had already been appointed as Pro VC of Uttara University on January 11, 2024, by the President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, in addition to Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Eaysmin Aara Lekha, who was in attendance at his reception at the university as chief guest. 

ISD has started accepting applications for terms starting in January and August 2024 for grades 9, 10, and 11.
