Southeast University welcomes new students of Summer 2026
Southeast University (SEU) welcomed its newly admitted students for the Summer 2026 semester with a vibrant freshers' reception and orientation programme on June 28 and 29 at its multipurpose hall. The programme comprised three distinct sessions for different departments.
The inaugural session was held on June 28 for the newly admitted students of the School of Arts & Social Sciences (SASS). Poet Prof. Mohammad Nurul Huda, Former DG, Bangla Academy, graced the session as the chief guest. June 29 commenced with the second session, which welcomed students from computer science and engineering (CSE), electrical and electronic engineering (EEE), textile, architecture, and ICT departments. Raisul Kabir, Co-Founder & CEO, Brain Station 23, graced the session as the chief guest. Following this, the third session on the same day welcomed students from Southeast Business School. Fahima Akhter, Director, Masco Group & BGMEA, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The first session was chaired by SEU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, while the second and final sessions were chaired by SEU Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr M Mofazzal Hossain. Major General Md Anwarul Islam (Retd.), Registrar of the university, along with the deans and heads of various departments, warmly welcomed the newly admitted students.
In their addresses, the distinguished guests shared valuable guidance and encouraged the students to cultivate punctuality, discipline, and a strong sense of purpose. They emphasised the importance of continuous self-development, academic excellence, and preparedness to face future challenges. The speakers also inspired the students to make the most of their academic journey at Southeast University’s beautiful permanent campus in Tejgaon.
