Apply to BIT CSC Scholarship 2026: Fully funded study at Beijing Institute of Technology

The Beijing Institute of Technology CSC Scholarship is awarded through the China Scholarship Council (CSC), a non-profit organisation based in Beijing. It supports international students admitted to undergraduate, master’s and PhD programmes at the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), one of China’s long-established comprehensive universities. The scholarship is fully funded, covering tuition fees, accommodation, medical insurance, and a monthly living allowance.

According to the available information, undergraduate students receive a monthly allowance of 2,500 RMB, master’s students 3,000 RMB, and PhD candidates 3,500 RMB. Accommodation is provided – twin-bed rooms for undergraduates and single rooms for graduate students – along with comprehensive medical insurance valued at 800 RMB.

Founded in 1958, Beijing Institute of Technology is located in Beijing’s Haidian District and operates across four campuses. The university offers both undergraduate and graduate education through 12 schools and departments, with 43 undergraduate and 49 graduate majors spanning natural sciences, engineering, liberal arts and humanities, management science and economics, law and education. Its most popular majors include Management Science & Economics, Information Technology, Industrial Design, and Music Performance. 

Who can apply

All international students are eligible to apply for the BIT CSC Scholarship, including students from Bangladesh. Applicants must not already be enrolled at Beijing Institute of Technology. Age limits apply: up to 30 years for undergraduate applicants, 35 for master’s, and 40 for PhD candidates. Applicants must be in good health, have no criminal record, and demonstrate strong academic performance. An English proficiency certificate is acceptable; IELTS is not mandatory.

Documents required

Applicants must upload the following documents during the online CSC scholarship application process:

• CSC Online Application Form (using the Beijing Institute of Technology agency number)

• Online Application Form of Beijing Institute of Technology

• Highest degree certificate (notarised)

• Academic transcripts (notarised)

• Undergraduate diploma and transcript

• Passport copy

• Study plan or research proposal

• Two recommendation letters

• English proficiency certificate

• Physical examination form (health report)

• Police clearance certificate (no criminal record)

• Economic proof

• If currently in China, a copy of the most recent visa or residence permit

An acceptance letter from a BIT supervisor is not mandatory, but securing one may improve the chances of approval.

How to apply

The application process is conducted primarily online. Applicants first complete the CSC Scholarship online application form, followed by the Beijing Institute of Technology online application for the CSC Scholarship 2026. All required documents must be uploaded to the CSC portal; applications remain incomplete without them. There is no application fee for the Chinese Government Scholarship.

In some cases, applicants may also be asked to print both application forms and send them, along with supporting documents, by email or courier to the university.
