1 lakh Yaba siezed in Ctg

Bangladesh Coast Guard (east zone) recovered 1 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets, worth around Tk 5 crore, from Gohira Chipatolirghat area of Anwara upazila in Chittagong early yesterday.

On information, a team of Coast Guard conducted a drive in the area and recovered the Yaba pills in an abandoned condition inside a bag, said Lieutenant Dikson Chowdhury of Coast Guard (east zone). 

Sensing the presence of the Coast Guard members, the person who was carrying the bag might have fled the scene, he further said.
