3 arrested with arms in Jessore

Detectives arrested three alleged arms traders along with some ammunition from Munshi Bagdanga in Jessore town yesterday.

They are Shahinur Rahman, a resident of the area, Sabuj Hossain,and Alam Hossain, of Kumar Bagdnaga village.

Md Kamruzzaman, sub-inspector of Detective Branch of Jessore police, said, "On information, a team of DB police raided the house of Shahinur Rahman and arrested him around 2:30am," adding, "Police recovered one 9mm pistol, two magazines and three rounds of bullet from him."

Gleaning information from Shahinur, police later arrested the other two along with a shutter gun and some bullets.

Police said the trio were involved in arms trading for a long time.
