3 errant Barisal restaurants fined

A mobile court fined a fined a restaurant Tk 50,000 for making food in an unhygienic environment in Barisal city's Sadar road area yesterday.

The court, led by Executive Magistrate Kalyan Chowdhury, conducted the drive at Sakal-Sandhya Sweets, court sources said.

Another mobile court, led by Executive Magistrate Sukhomoy Sarkar, fined South King Restaurant Tk 50,000 on Band Road and Nil Akash Restaurant in Port Road area Tk 5,000 on the same charge.

Law enforcers and officials of consumer rights protection directorate assisted the courts.
