3 killed in road crashes

Three people were killed and six others injured in road accidents in two districts yesterday.

Our staff correspondent from Chittagong reports, the driver and his assistant of a microbus carrying newspaper copies died as the vehicle overturned in Mithachhara of Mirsarai upazila in the morning.

The deceased were Md Shafiq, 45, the driver; and Asaduzzaman, 42.

Our Manikganj correspondent adds, a microbus driver was killed and six of its passengers were injured as a bus collided head-on with it at Saturia's Golora in the afternoon.

The deceased was Rois, 35, of Rajbari.
