4 killed in road accidents

Four people were killed and 10 others injured in road accidents in three districts yesterday and on Thursday.

In Habiganj, two people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on collision between two buses in Korangi Bridge area of Bahubal upazila yesterday.

The deceased were bus driver Hafizur Rahman, 45, and helper Rajib Ali, 45.

In Thakurgaon, Nazrul Islam, 35, of Kalugaon village was killed when a motorcycle hit his bicycle on Ranishankoil-Baliadangi road in Belapara village of Ranishankoil upazila on Thursday night.

In Lalmonirhat, Nur Jahan Begum, 26, of Bhatibari village was killed when a truck ran her over after she fell off a motorcycle hit by the vehicle on Lalmonirhat-Burimari highway in Sarpukur village of Aditmari upazila on Thursday night.

However, Nur Jahan's husband who was driving the motorcycle and six-year-old son were unhurt.
