ACC sues ex-secy's wife

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) lodged a case against a former deputy secretary's wife for concealing information about her property in her wealth statement.

Assistant Director of ACC Chittagong office Md Maniruzzaman lodged the case against Dilruba Khanam, wife of former deputy secretary Nurul Islam, of Hathazari upazila on Tuesday night.

ACC Deputy Assistant Director Sadhan Chandra Sutradhar said the actual value of her property is around Tk 1.88 crore. But in her wealth statement submitted to ACC in 2014 she had shown Tk 38.27 lakh less.
