A total of 31 employees of the “affidavit” and “filing” sections of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court have been transferred to its other sections on administrative grounds.

All the 31 employees of “affidavit” and “filing” sections have been transferred to its other sections of the High Court. Meanwhile, 31 other employees from different sections were transferred to the “affidavit” and “filing” sections.

SC Spokesman Md Saifur Rahman told The Daily Star that the transfer orders were passed on December 1 and 2 on administrative reasons.

Today, Attorney General Mahbubey Alam told reporters at his office on the SC premises that the transfer order is an outcome of the rigid stance of the chief justice against corruption and irregularities.

Some stern action needs to be taken when corruption takes place in an institution, the attorney general said.

Earlier on Monday during the proceedings of the Appellate Division, the chief justice expressed his disappointment at the incident of inclusion of a case to serial No- 89 for hearing though it was scheduled to be included to the serial No-3.
