But additional public prosecutor (PP) Kazi Zahangir Hossain who represented the state was not informed about the hearings.

In his order, the judge said the accused had been in jail for over two years and five others accused in the same case earlier got bail from different courts.

Moreover, the case is now at the stage of argument and there is a uncertaintyover completion of the argument due to coronavirus. So his bail was granted upon a bond of Tk 10,000 with two guarantors for a month, the judge said.

According to prosecution, it was alleged that Jatrabari police in a drive arrested Enayet and five others on May 19, 2018.

Police also seized 9,000 pieces of yaba pills and 100 grams of yaba pills and 1,000 pieces from five others.

Later, a case under Narcotics Control Act was filed against them with Jatrabari Police Station.

After an investigation, police pressed charges against Enayet and five others on August 11 of 2018.

Later the case was transferred to the court for its disposal.
