Barisal fire guts 15 houses

Fire gutted 10 tin-roofed houses in Bhatarkhal slum area of Kirtonkhola riverbank in Barisal city yesterday noon.
The fire might have originated from the oven of one of the houses and spread to the adjacent ones, Fire Service officials said. Fire-fighters doused the fire after an hour and estimated the damage at Tk 15 lakh.
