Biman Bangladesh Airlines has a plan to reintroduce Biman's flight operation on New Delhi and Hong Kong routes and open new routes this year.

Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Rashed Khan Menon disclosed this while replying to a question in the Jatiya Sangsad yesterday.

The minister also said the national flag carrier is currently providing service to seven domestic and 15 international flights.

The ministry would consider introducing Biman's flight to Narita in Japan this year on the availability of new generation aircraft.

It would also start its New York service and the government has a plan to expand routs to Sydney, Jakarta, Madras and Mumbai depending on commercial viability.
