bKash agent shot, robbed of Tk 5 lakh in capital

Muggers shot a bKash sales representative and looted around Tk 5 lakh from him in the capital's Mirpur yesterday.

Azizul Hakim Suman, 28, a sales representative of Shuvro Trade International Ltd at Gabtoli, is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Jamil Hossain, manager of the business outlet, said three muggers on a motorcycle intercepted Suman when he was collecting money at Rainkhola around 12:30pm.

They pushed him on the ground and tried to snatch the money. As he tried to resist them, the muggers shot him in the right leg and fled with the money, added Jamil.

As locals tried to come forward for help, the muggers fired a blank shot and left the scene on the bike, police said.
