Brac-Chevron partnership project begins in Sylhet

The inception meeting of the 18-month Brac-Chevron pilot partnership project "Alternative Livelihood" for the socio-economic development of the people around the Chevron gas fields was held in Sylhet Zila Parishad Conference Hall yesterday.

The project, in collaboration with the Institute of Development Affairs as the implementing organisation, will help increase the income of the participants, teach them about modified agricultural commodities, and modern productivity, and develop value chain management.
