Buet computer dept develops model to check question paper leak

The computer science and engineering (CSE) department of Buet yesterday proposed a model framework to prevent question leakage in public exams.

Through a power point presentation, Prof Dr Md Mostofa Akbar of the department presented the model "Secured, Monitored, Automated, Real-Time (SMART) Printing Solution" at a conference on "Initiative of Digital question system to prevent question linkage in public exams and the reality" at Buet. The questions would be auto-generated three hours before start of the exam and printed two hours before, so there would be little time for leakage, he said.

Use of CCTV cameras and face detection based authentication can be used to identify culprits behind question leakage, he added.
