Ctg BCL leader suspended
Bangladesh Chhatra League yesterday suspended one of its Chittagong city unit leaders as he allegedly entered into an examination hall and tried to take photos of a question paper by force during a recruitment test.
The unit issued a show cause notice to vice president Noman Chowdhury.
Emran Ahammed Emu, president of the city BCL, said the suspension came following media reports on the incident.
Noman is a responsible leader, he said, adding, "It might have been a conspiracy."
To prove into the incident, BCL Chittagong city unit on Friday night formed a five-member committee which was asked to submit its report within three days.
Further actions will be taken based on the report, he said.
On Friday morning, four youths led by Noman allegedly tried to take the photos in a Chittagong exam hall during the recruitment test of pre-primary school assistant teachers.
Noman, however, could not be reached for comments.
