Death anniversary

Today is the 30th death anniversary of Justice Syed Muhammad Hussain, said a press release.

He was a judge of the Supreme Court and was removed under the martial law in 1984. He also served as the chairman of the Bangladesh Chapter of International Law Association, Amnesty International and the International Commission Jurists.

He was awarded posthumously Swadhinata Padak in 1998.

He took part in the campaign of independence of Bangladesh in United States in 1971. He is one of the main founders of Bulbul Lalitkala Academy and Pakistan Art Council and was general secretary of the organisations.
