Death anniversary

Today is the 46th death anniversary of Col Qadir, father of Press Minister of Bangladesh High Commission in London Nadeem Qadir.

Special prayers will be offered at Qadirabad Cantonment, says a press release.

Lt Col Muhammad Abdul Qadir was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers in 1949. He was martyred on April 17, 1971. His grave was found in 2007 and he was reburied with full state and military honours in 2011 at Qadirabad Cantonment, named after the martyr.

His family seeks prayers from all for the eternal peace of the martyr.
