Death anniversary

Today is the first death anniversary of Saifuddin Quader Chowdhury, a businessman.

Born in 1951, he died of cancer in 2015. He was the chairman and managing director of QC Shipping Ltd, QC Trading Ltd, Multiport Ltd, QC Logistics Ltd and Dacca Dying Ltd.

He was the second son of speaker of the erstwhile Pakistan National Assembly AKM Fazlul Quader Chowdhury and Selima Quader Chowdhury. He was also a son-in-law of former vice-chairman of erstwhile Chittagong Port Trust AKM Fazlur Rahim Chowdhury. Saifuddin Quader established many educational institutions including Syeda Selima Quader Chowdhury Degree College in Rangunia and Fazlul Quader Chowdhury Ideal School and College in Hathazari.

Milad and doa mahfils and a Qurankhwani will be held at his grave in Gohira of Chittagong this morning. Another milad and doa mahfil will be held after the Asr prayer tomorrow at his Good's Hill residence.
