Death anniversary of five martyrs of a family tomorrow

The 45th martyrdom anniversary of Engineer Fazlur Rahman and four of his family members will be observed on Friday, said a press release.

Fazlur Rahman, his wife Hosne Akhter and three sons Mostafizur Rahman Moznu, a college student, Hasinur Rahman Hiron, a school student, and Azizur Rahman Babu, also a school student, were killed at their railway government residence in Sayedpur under Nilphamari by the Pakistani occupation forces and their collaborators 'Biharis' (Urdu speaking) on this day in 1971 for their involvement in the Liberation War.

Hosne Akhter, an NGO trainer, was buried alive after charging bayonet by the killers. Her son Saidur Rahman and two daughters Dilruba Khatun and Camellia Rahman managed to escape during the atrocities.

Many innocent Bangalees were killed by the Pakistani forces with the help of Biharis in Sayedpur during the War.

On this occasion, qurankhani will be held and food will be distributed among the destitute.

All are requested to attend the programme and pray for the salvation of the departed souls.
