DoE seals off 4 warehouses, 3 businesses

The Department of Environment (DoE) in Chattogtam sealed off four warehouses and three shops for storing and selling illegal polythene at Riazuddin Bazar in Chattogram city yesterday.

A DoE team led by Nurllah Nuri, director of DoE Chattogram metropolitan, seized five tonnes of such polythene from there.

Nurullah Nuri told The Daily Star that on a tip off, they conducted the drive at the bazar.

"We also issued notice to three people to appear at DoE office for hearing," said the official.
