DU student sues Facebook users for ‘sexual harassment’

The Dhaka University student, who had earlier sued former Ducsu VP Nur, yesterday filed a case against eight other persons, a Facebook group, and over a hundred unidentified people on the charge of sexually harassing her on the social media platform.

The case was filed with Shahbagh Police Station under the Digital Security Act and the Pornography Control Act on Wednesday night by the girl, who had filed two rape cases accusing former Ducsu VP Nurul Haque Nur and five others, Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Mamun-or Rashid said.

The complainant stated in the latest case statement, "My social status has been degraded by the alleged persons and Facebook group (Swapner Dhaka Biswabiddyalay). They harassed me sexually spreading false remark using social media platforms."
