DU students keep demanding justice for Sujan murder
Students of Dhaka University staged a demonstration for the fourth consecutive day at the capital's Shahbagh intersection yesterday afternoon, protesting the murder of their fellow Sujan Mridha, a third year student of the university's marketing department.
They also formed a human chain on the university campus, demanding a fresh investigation, exemplary punishment for the perpetrators and reparations.
Sujan was allegedly killed in a police firing during the second phase of Union Parishad polls in Madaripur's Dhurail on March 31 while the police denied the allegation, saying that he was killed in a clash between two rival groups.
