Earn people’s trust thru’ your work: IGP

Police personnel should earn people's trust through their works, said Inspector General of Police Benazir Ahmed in Barishal yesterday.

"We have to provide services to people unconditionally. In return, we will get their respect and love," he said while exchanging views with about 2,500 policemen at the district police lines in the afternoon.

Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner Md Shahabuddin Khan was present as special guest at the meeting with Barishal Range DIG Md Shafiqul Islam in the chair.

Earlier, the IGP inaugurated the newly constructed office building of the superintendent of police on Polytechnic Road in Barishal city.

Barishal City Corporation Mayor Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah and government high officials of the district were present at that time.
