Energy ministry to offer 500 internships

Five hundred students of petroleum and mining engineering of different universities would be able to avail internships with different organisations under the power, energy and mineral resources ministry, said State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid yesterday.

He was addressing a seminar on "Potentials of Petroleum and Mining Engineering in Bangladesh" at the Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST).

Chaired by JUST Vice Chancellor Prof Abdus Sattar, the seminar was also addressed by Dhaka University Prof Badrul Imam and chairman of petroleum and mining engineering Dr Tofael Ahmed.

Nasrul Hamid said that the victory in the maritime boundary dispute had brought immense potentials of job opportunity for the petroleum and mining engineering students.
