Fakhrul denied bail again

A Dhaka court has rejected bail petitions of BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir in three arson cases.

The court passed the order after Fakhrul's lawyer submitted three bail petitions challenging another lower court's rejection order on his bail. Police sued Fakhrul and 28 other leaders for vandalising and torching a bus in Gulistan area on January 5 while another case filed against him and 49 others of BNP for setting fire to a motorbike of a policeman in Fakirapool area on January 5. The BNP leader and 33 others were also sued for torching a BRTC bus in the capital on January 6.
