Fire breaks out in Barisal BLAST office

A fire broke out in the office of Bangladesh Legal Aid Services Trust on the Barisal judge court premises yesterday afternoon. Documents of more than 1,500 cases, four computers, and furniture were gutted in the locked office, said Shahida Talukdar, a project officer of BLAST.

Three fire fighting units took 40 minutes to extinguish the fire which might have originated from an electric short circuit, said Alauddin Mia, station officer of fire service in Barisal.
