Fire breaks out at RMG factory

Fire gutted valuables at a garment factory in Kanchpur of Narayanganj, outside the capital, yesterday.

The fire originated from an electric short circuit at the textile section of Sinha Garments about 1:15pm and spread to other sections, Fire Service officials said.

Huge amount of thread and machineries were damaged in the fire, said Humayun Kabir, an official of the factory.
