Fire guts Gazipur jhut godown

Fire gutted a jhut godown (scrap fabrics from garment industries) in Millgate area of ​​Tongi in Gazipur, outside the capital, yesterday.

Fire Service officials said the fire originated at the godown of Kamal Enterprise around 12:00am was doused after one and half an hour.

Owner of the godown claimed that the fire damaged valuables worth Tk 20 lakh.
