Five DU students get Ataus Samad Memorial Scholarship

Five students of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism of Dhaka University have received "Ataus Samad Memorial Scholarship" for their excellent results in BSS examination of 2015.

DU Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique on Sunday handed over the prizes to Md Shafiqul Islam, Anando Kumar Shil, Farzana Akter, Fahima Ahmed Kachi and Dulal Samadder at DU.

Journalist Tawab Khan was awarded "Ataus Samad Memorial Trust Lifetime Achievement Award" for his role in developing journalism profession.

Ataus Samad was the advisory editor of Amar Desh, chief executive officer of NTV and a part-time teacher of the department.
