Gazipur SP's bodyguard fires gun panicked by tailgating BCL posse

A bodyguard of Gazipur's superintendent of police (SP) fired two shots overhead near a police checkpost at Uttara's Kamarpara around 7:00pm after seeing around 15 Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) activists following his car.

SP Harun-ur-Rashid, who was not in the car, said Constable Saiful Islam was going to Gazipur from Shyamoli Ring Road when he fired the shots in panic seeing the BCL riders following him. He was detained at the checkpost and Turag Thana Police released him.
